We officially moved to our new house in Tsaile last Tuesday!! Life here has been great so far, and we are already making it home. I will post pictures as soon as I can find the camera charger, which, like most everything else, is tucked away somewhere in a sea of boxes and packing paper.
A weekend home in December gave us an opportunity to do a local hike to "Fish Point", located at the very tip of Black Mesa. (It's the point just to the right of Dave in the picture below)
To me, from certain angles, it looks like a fish head pointed up out of the ocean. But, it is named "Fish Point" because of the numerous shells and fish scales that can be found along one portion of the hike.
It was a gorgeous winter day that reiterated every reason why we love exploring the Rez! I was even lucky enough to photograph the windmill marking the turnoff to the "trailhead" as the sun was setting.
